Extend of meeting Technical Standard
The purpose of the document is to provide information on the extent to which the technical standards for the AMPL-ab met on data quality standards and project management standards.
Scaling AMPL-ab Items
The report outlines the technical treatment of reading and mathematics assessment data from the AMPL-ab study administered in 2023 in 4 piloting countries and across 5 grades.
The pairwise comparison exercise
The document provides the process adopted and results of MPL by using Pairwise Comparison Methods (PCM) for standard sitting. The pairwise comparison method was used to equate the LPS with the AMPL scale for both reading and mathematics.
Technical paper on weighting and sample outcomes approach
The document describes the methodology and processes for calculating weights and generating replicates for the purposes of variance estimation for AMPL-ab. In developing these methods it was drawn from the methodologies of other large scale international education surveys and tailored these to the specific characteristics of the AMPL-ab
Weighting, Non-response Adjustments, Variance Estimation & Response Rates
This document describes the proposed methodology and processes for calculating weights and generating replicates for the purposes of variance estimation for AMPL-ab. In developing these methods, it was drawn from the methodologies of other large scale international education surveys and tailored these to the specific characteristics of the AMPL-ab study.
Raw Data of AMPL
Below linkages have complete and clean AMPL-ab dataset includes cognitive and contextual data, including the raw data, scaled scores and contextual indices. The dataset is in two Excel .csv files. One that has data from the school questionnaire, and one that combines the student questionnaire and cognitive data. Both files are also accompanied by codebooks, which provide the meaning of data labels.
